意味が近いけど使い方が異なる。reiterateは普段繰り返して同じ事を何度も伝える時に使われます。伝えられている事を強調する目標で叩き込むというニュアンスがはいります。


例えば：
I reiterated the instructions to him multiple times but he still does not understand.
I reiterated the importance of arriving on time but he still arrived late.

iterateの方は、何かを何度も繰り返してやり直す意味になります。何かをだんだん改善していく目標がある、というニュアンスがよく入ります。

例えば：
He iterated upon the software's code until it ran smoothly without bugs.
He iterated on the plot of his novel multiple times over many years, which is why the story is so complicated.
「iterative process」という単語はよく使われます。
