Anyone need help from a native English speaker?

If you pronounce "three", can an american hear it from far?
Sounds "th", "s" and "t" would not be heard from far position, I think.
Especially "th".
If you can recognize it, the pronounce method of "th" in educational TV is wrong, I think.
Do you agree?
Or do you explain the right way?
