Your English sounds formal because there are some words/expressions you use in your
writing not really common in spoken English (at least I don't use/hear them in daily
conversations). Like "recommend that" or "colloquial expressions". In your writing, you
sound like a well-educated old folk who tries to mimick a young cool guy.
