Hey!!! All you NEETs, nerds, YouTube link spammers, pedophiles, neo-Nazis,
Yukorin enthusiasts, Nanako SOS admirers, Part-Time-Preachers,
Diplomats' spoiled sons, losers who can't remember Kanji characters,
Big-boobs fans, Weeaboo from around the world, learners of Japanese
who are too lazy to update their Japanese blogs very often, cunning
linguists, stupid fan girls of Johnny's Boys, Touhou pirates, and
that electrical super-gay who suffers from mental disease - This is your thread!
Let's hope the Internet-addicted housewife will come back soon!

We all wish for permanent world peace!

19 :名無しさん@英語勉強中 :2017/11/23(木) 08:11:05.96 ID:SWwayST8H.net
Oh that reminded me of my years-long question.
They say the night is darkest just before the dawn.
Is there literally any truth to it?
I mean, that's technically how it works for real?

20 :名無しさん@英語勉強中 :2017/11/23(木) 08:29:11.30 ID:wSceENUH0.net
I don't know whether it is real or not.
From my experience, the night is darkest at three or four o'clock.
It's a metaphor to encourage someone by letting them to know the dawn is almost there.
I'm wonder if there is a same metaphorical verse in the Northern Europe.
Because there is actually nights without dawn.

Recently I have started HelloTalk app. But people there really suck. 95% of the guys are horney and only thinking about picking girls up and having sex. They are no longer interested in foreign language or culture at all.
The thing I hate most is that the Japanese girls seem willing to communicate with such vulgar guys. I have no idea why only japanese girls don't ignore savages. Don't they have pride at all? This is why they are called "easy pussy".

I was considering finding a language partner on HelloTalk or italki or something similar
but decided against it. There are just too many リア充 there and the chances of finding
a decent person are so small that it's not worth going through hundreds of people to
meet someone who's actually interested in me helping them with English in return for them
helping me with my Japanese.

41 :名無しさん@英語勉強中 :2017/11/23(木) 18:08:35.18 ID:58nhMKvb0.net
I used to sign up for laung 8, where there were a lot of Japanese who wanted to learn English.
You might want to join it. They would correct your Japanese essays soon after you post them there.
That is beacuse the balance between supply and demand has collapsed.
I mean a lot of Japanese who want to learn English v.s. a few of native speakers who learn Japanese.
Did I make myself understood? Sorry for my poor English!!

Your English was nearly flawless so I understood you without any problems.
The thing about those sites is that I don't really write essays or diary entries, so they wouldn't be that useful to me.
While I'm sure there are tons of natives who would be happy to correct my writing, most of my language-related
questions are more about the usage or nuances of words, or the meanings of words I can't quite understand.

Summer is getting hotter, but winter seems to be colder than before.
This assumption might be wrong because we have less snow than before.

Although they must have anti-Japanese sentiments due to the communist party's policy,I wonder why they are so enthusiastic about learning Japanese. Is there anything behind this phenomenon ? Most of them are females, aren't they?

I'm gonna tell you a true story why Chinese people are surprisingly eager to learn Japanese language.
Did you realize that many Chinese recently have been purchasing japan's real estate property such as lands, apartments, and private houses?
China is invading Japan slowly, gradually, but surely.
Sooner or later they will completely deprive our job, habitat, even culture. They are gonna cheat and deceive us by using proficient Japanese language. Our hospitality mind can be goofy enough.
The most threatening thing for Japan is neither AI nor North Korea. It is People's Republic of China.
They still feel strong resentment at what we have done on China during Sino-Japanese war 1894-1945. All the people of the country are burning with vengeful thoughts.

55 :名無しさん@英語勉強中 :2017/11/23(木) 22:25:18.56 ID:FT9mwTSz0.net
That is a little bit exaggeraued and seems much mnre conspirasy theory.
In fact, chinese communities are growing all over the world.
The U.S. has seen steep increase in chinese origin especially in unitersities.
For me, this is a most serious problem.Japanese students should go to unitesities in the U.S. more or we will be inslar country literally.

I'm not sure how one would set it up on a Japanese computer, but don't most web browsers
have options to enable spell checking?
At least for me, on Google Chrome, you can find it under Options→Advanced→Languages→Spell Check,
then select the language(s) you would like to have spellchecked.
It'll spot most mistakes and mark them with a wavy red line under the word, then you can right
click the word and it'll suggest words you might have intended to write instead.
Even natives make mistakes when writing or forget how to spell otherwise common words, so it's
a very useful tool to have, even more so when learning the language.

58 :名無しさん@英語勉強中 :2017/11/23(木) 23:13:38.11 ID:FT9mwTSz0.net
Yes.most PCs have spell cheack abilities both in Japanese and English.
They even suggest the nuances in same pronouciation words like 創造:creation and 想像:imagination.
Now I'm using certain gagdet to write that doesn't have any correction function.
This expose my spelling so sometimes it's useful to know my pure skill in English...

Humans really need to stop invading other people's places (or letting others invade their own places).
Just because whites invaded and colonized others in the past doesn't mean muslims, africans etc can invade and harass whites' places now.

100,000 is 1/7 of the number of the Chinese people in Japan. It is a very small size considering the population of China is 10 times larger than Japan.
On top of that, take the massive territorial size of China into consideration, and the size of the Japanese population in China should be insignificant.

Some of the reviews could be paid for or completely made up by the companies themselves,
but still I found review scores reliable in most cases.
Paying a closer attention to negative reviews rather than good ones also helps, I believe.

You would be surprised how Italian people tend not trust
the information they find on the internet, books, TVs or from any other media outlet.

@82. Then we should send J-nese business persons and their families even more to China, to to mention students who are eager to learn Chinese.

The fact is that, without them, we, Japanese, can no longer sustain our daily life, like it or not.

Look around, everything is Chinese, your clothes, electric appliances, shoes and the list goes on and on. Put simply. We are living in One World.

Your saying like Chinese should go back to China is the same thing as some of them saying like Japanese should go back to Japan. Those are mostly right-wingers, aka, uneducated, narrow-minded ones.

in spite of learnning English every day, my dream that watching american movies without subtitle are long way to go.
and the saddest thing is that speaking in English is much more diffcult than listenning or reading english.
everytime i try to speak and make sentenses in english, words are running away from my head.
it's like i'm a butterfly catcher and words are flying away from me in to the blue sky.
and English grammar is also my nightmare which is completly different from japanese one.
the hardest part is how to deal with the time. past tense, future tense, present tense, confusing me.
when i talk about some story to someone, my characters break time barrier easly. like time traveler.
so that even the easy storys like my grandma going shopping to supermarket turn into a Science Fiction.

How can I find out such difficulty in your sentenses?

It's the same for me with Japanese. If I get the time to look up words and
write my thoughts down instead of speaking them then I can form quite coherent
sentences, but if I need to speak in real life then I'll often pick the wrong words,
speak casually when I should be speaking politely and vice versa, screw up the
tenses, or just sound like an idiot in general.

Do you also feel like you just can't use half the vocabulary you supposedly know?
Like, I know around 8000 Japanese words at this point, but a lot of words I'd only
ever recognize and would never use on the spot even if they would be the most appropriate.
For example, I recognize the word 涼しい when I see it, but I've never actually used
it when it would have been appropriate. Instead my mind jumps to スッキリ even
if it would be grammatically incorrect or sound weird in context.
