ふつうに読み進めてくるとtheyはアニマルのように読めて文法的に、は？ってなる。
読み進めると、theyが子供達でthemが動物達だとわかるが、
そもそも同じ文でtheyがseeする対象がthemで表されてるんだが、一文でthey/themが別々の意味ってアリなの？

Because they have to visit other countries to see many kinds of animals. However, zoos make it possible for them to touch a lot of animals without going abroad.
goingはgoの動名詞のつもりなんだろうけど、goingって書けるのかな？
どっちにしろこの意味ならvisitの方が多分いいだろう

Thus children can easily learn many things about animals to go to zoos.
他の人も指摘しているけど、
thorough experience of visiting zooとかの方が良いんじゃ？合ってるかは不明
