e. By another extension, the name is given to institutions unconnected with
a university, for instruction of a more advanced or professional kind than that
given at school, such as the theological colleges of religious organizations,
colleges for women, training colleges for teachers, military and naval colleges,
colleges of agriculture, music, etc.

大意： college という言葉の意味はさらに別の拡張を遂げて、今では
school での教育よりもレベルの高い、あるいは professional な教育を授与する
ために、university には関係のない機関についても college と呼んでいる。
たとえば、宗教団体の神学系の college や、女性のための college や、
教員養成用の college や、陸軍や海軍のための college や、農業・音楽
などの教育を行う college などがある。
